BBE support the measures taken by our local authorities to prevent an outbreak of COVID-19 on our island. So far there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Bonaire, and we call upon all employers to follow the instructions of the Hygiene department so we can work together to maintain this status.
This pandemic will also have serious negative consequences for the economy of Bonaire. We are in talks with the authorities to set up measures and take actions to diminish the effect of this in the best possible way. We expect to inform you of concrete measures during the course of the week the come. In the mean time we urgently call upon all entrepreneurs on Bonaire to assist us in collecting as much data as possible, and complete the BBE COVID-19 BAROMETER, an anonymous survey. This will be of great use in our discussions with the authorities.
